Tricia-Ann Israel has been living at 71 Thorncliffe Park Drive since 1991, when she and her mother, Sonia Israel arrived from Jamica. They are both currently on rent strike against their landlord Starlight/PSP demanding that they stop pursuing Above Guideline Increases to rent that they believe are designed to push lower-income tenants like themselves out of the building.
